About Ivermectin Tablets
Ivermectin tablets are an antiparasitic medicine. Doctors prescribe them for certain worm infections: strongyloidiasis of the intestine and onchocerciasis (river blindness). In the US they are sold under the brand name Stromectol as 3 mg tablets, and the dose is worked out from body weight. The 6 mg and 12 mg tablets are strengths sold outside the US.
Ivermectin isn’t approved or authorized to treat or prevent COVID-19, and large clinical trials found it didn’t help. Never take ivermectin products made for animals.
