About Ketoconazole Tablets
Ketoconazole tablets treat certain serious fungal infections inside the body. Because they can cause severe liver injury, adrenal problems and dangerous interactions with other medicines, the FDA limits their use to serious infections where other antifungal medicines aren’t available or aren’t tolerated. They are not used for skin or nail fungal infections.
Ketoconazole is also made as a cream and a shampoo for skin conditions; these act on the skin only.

- Liver problems (rare but serious)
