About Doxycycline Hyclate 100 mg Capsules
Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic for chest and sinus infections, skin infections, acne, Lyme disease and some sexually transmitted infections. It is also prescribed to help prevent malaria when traveling.

How to use
Take exactly as prescribed, usually once or twice a day, with a full glass of water, and stay upright for at least 30 minutes afterwards. Take it 2 to 3 hours apart from antacids, iron, calcium or dairy products. Protect your skin from the sun.
Follow the directions on your prescription and the pharmacy label. Ask your prescriber or pharmacist if you have questions.
Possible side effects
- Nausea or upset stomach
- Sunburning more easily – use sunscreen
- Usually not given to children under 8 or during pregnancy, as it can affect teeth and bone development
